I sat down with Hygeia founder and CEO, a former Johns Hopkins football star and current University of Notre Dame Entrepreneur, Jameson Lajoie.
Hygeia, a fitness and fashion-optimizing company, is paving the way toward active professionalism.
Here is what I learned:
Notice What Others Aren't Doing:
- If the world is doing something, observe it, and then don't do it. Most of the world is lost, broken, and unwilling. Pro Tip: learn from their mistakes.
Put In The Work While Keeping Your Head Down.
- The gyms and libraries are a lot emptier than the bars on a Friday night, but working quietly and diligently will always get you farther.
Choose Your Hard:
- The best things in life are hard, but everything else is too. It's hard to make a solid business deal, but it's also hard to be poor. Choose your hard.
Be Grateful And Use Your Gratitude As Fuel:
- I asked Jameson, what's been your recent fuel? He answered, “I have asked so much from so many people; who am I not to give it my everything?”
It was a true honor and pleasure to sit down and learn so much from someone who is taking incredible steps in their life.
